Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos group slug strategy led by The Lord of Pain. It accelerates the pace of the game by forcing all players into a high-damage environment where common game actions carry severe life penalties. The deck shuts down lifegain via the commander, Rampaging Ferocidon, and Stigma Lasher, ensuring that damage dealt remains permanent. Early turns establish mana rocks and incremental pingers like Razorkin Needlehead and Eidolon of the Great Revel. The mid-game introduces the commander and asymmetric accelerants like Descent into Avernus and Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The endgame leverages powerful damage multipliers and life-halving effects, including Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Heartless Hidetsugu, Dictate of the Twin Gods, and Wound Reflection, to rapidly eliminate the entire table in a single turn rotation.
