Poisoned To Death by Rogue_Highlander

Format: Commander

Commander: The Serpent Society

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Golgari poison deck, helmed by The Serpent Society, is a hybrid of fast combo and resilient deathtouch-based control. The primary win condition is the two-card infinite loop of Chain of Smog and Witherbloom Apprentice, which can be assembled and executed as early as turn 3-4. A robust backup plan uses infect creatures (Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, Glistener Elf, Tyrranax Rex) and proliferate effects (Evolution Sage, Karn's Bastion) to push through poison counters, with Fynn, the Fangbearer multiplying the damage from deathtouch attackers. The commander provides a repeatable edict effect when deathtouch creatures die, keeping the board clear while the combo or poison beats whittle down opponents. Fast mana (Dark Ritual, Mana Vault, Lotus Petal) and a dense tutor suite ensure the deck consistently finds its key pieces.
