Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck utilizes Ghoulcaller Gisa to transform creature power into overwhelming Zombie armies, life drain cascades, and sacrifice loops. The deck ramps aggressively using fast artifacts, rituals like Dark Ritual and Culling the Weak, and mono-black mana doublers including Cabal Coffers and Crypt Ghast. Early setup focuses on stocking the graveyard with Entomb and Buried Alive while establishing recursive fodder like Gravecrawler and card engines like Undead Augur and Black Market Connections. Once Gisa or alternative sacrifice engines like Phyrexian Altar and Warren Soultrader are deployed, the board rapidly expands. Victory is achieved through multi-piece aristocrat drain combos with Ayara, First of Locthwain, Mirkwood Bats, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, combined with wide Zombie attacks buffed by Undead Warchief. While exposed to graveyard exile and creature sweepers, low-cost reanimation spells ensure rapid engine recovery.
