Deck overview

This deck is a high-power competitive Sultai combo-control deck centered on fast, compact victories and efficient stack control. The primary strategy races toward a Turn 3 Thassa's Oracle win combined with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. High-density fast mana and top-tier black tutors ensure this combo can be found and executed rapidly. As a robust backup plan, the deck runs Food Chain with Eternal Scourge or Misthollow Griffin, which produces infinite creature mana and allows casting the commander, Maralen, Fae Ascendant, infinite times from the command zone to exile every card from all opponents' libraries. Card advantage engines such as Rhystic Study, Mystic Remora, and Necropotence keep resources flowing, while an extensive suite of free countermagic (Force of Will, Pact of Negation, Mindbreak Trap) and targeted removal protects the game plan and disrupts opposing attempts.
