Deck overview

This Sultai deck is led by Teval, the Balanced Scale, blending a dedicated graveyard reanimator strategy with powerful land-based engines. In the opening turns, the deck deploys low-cost ramp to cast Teval on turn three and begin attacking on turn four, steadily filling the graveyard, ramping lands, and producing a defensive army of Zombie Druid tokens. Value engines like The Gitrog Monster, Six, Muldrotha, the Gravetide, and Life from the Loam turn the graveyard into a second hand. The deck pushes toward a decisive turn-six victory using Buried Alive, Gifts Ungiven, or Living Death to assemble Lord of Extinction and Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord. Sacrificing a massive Lord of Extinction to Jarad drains the entire table of life simultaneously. Backed by free and efficient interaction like Force of Will and Veil of Summer, the deck combines resilience, consistent card flow, and explosive finishing power.
