Deck overview

This mono-black deck is a synergistic Zombie tribal and aristocrats strategy commanded by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost Zombie creatures and utility mana rocks during the early turns, establishing a board presence to support casting Gisa on Turn 4 or 5. Once untapped, Gisa converts high-power creatures and expendable Zombie tokens into an overwhelming, wide board of 2/2 Zombies. The deck amplifies this token swarm with iconic tribal lords such as Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Cemetery Reaper, granting significant power boosts, menace, and deathtouch. Life drain payoffs like Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel convert board wipes and creature deaths into direct damage against the table. While the deck possesses resilient graveyard recursion, it relies heavily on natural card draw and lacks stack interaction and artifact removal.
