Deck overview

This mono-blue control deck harnesses Eluge, the Shoreless Sea to convert flood counters into recurring mana discounts on every player's turn. By deploying Eluge on turn 4, the deck quickly distributes flood counters across lands via combat attacks, nonlegendary clones, and inexpensive flicker spells like Essence Flux and Ghostly Flicker. Because Eluge reduces the cost of the first instant or sorcery cast each turn, the deck effectively operates on a four-fold mana economy, casting high-impact interaction like Cryptic Command, Sublime Epiphany, and Mystic Confluence for nearly zero mana during opponents' turns. This immense tempo surplus transitions into a rapid win condition on turns 5 to 6 by resolving discounted haymakers such as Expropriate, Time Stretch, Blatant Thievery, or an unassailable Hullbreaker Horror bounce engine. Opponents are systematically locked out of the board while massive Shark tokens, Construct swarms, and a giant commander close the game.
