Deck overview

This is a mono-black lifepayment and drain deck helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The core plan uses K'rrik's ability to convert life into black mana, casting expensive draw, tutors, and finishers far ahead of curve while refilling life through extort, devotion drains, and lifelink. Primary wins are the classic lifegain loops (Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood or Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose), backed by huge Exsanguinate and Gray Merchant of Asphodel drains, Aetherflux Reservoir activations, and Peer into the Abyss into Vilis, Broker of Blood. The deck layers redundant life-swap enchantments, swamp doublers, and black-mana rituals so that once K'rrik sticks, every spell both advances the board and pads the life total needed to keep paying.
