Deck overview

This Sultai deck is helmed by Muldrotha, the Gravetide, focusing on rapid self-mill, graveyard recursion, and permanent-based attrition. During early turns, efficient ramp and dredge engines like Golgari Grave-Troll and Life from the Loam fill the graveyard. By Turn 5, Muldrotha enters to treat the graveyard as a second hand, repeatedly casting permanents of each type every turn. This establishes controlling loops with Plaguecrafter to dismantle opposing creature boards, Spore Frog to blank combat, and Haywire Mite or Pernicious Deed to handle artifacts and enchantments. The primary win condition finishes on Turn 6 by putting Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord and Lord of Extinction onto the battlefield, immediately sacrificing Lord of Extinction to drain all opponents simultaneously. The deck maintains strong resilience through redundant reanimation spells and protective tools like Sylvan Safekeeper and Kaya's Ghostform.
