Deck overview

This Bant deck is an aggressive combat engine helmed by Arcades, the Strategist. The strategy leverages undercosted defender creatures with disproportionately high toughness stats, converting cheap walls into formidable attackers and self-replenishing draw triggers. Early turns focus on accelerating mana through mana dorks and low-CMC ramp spells before deploying Arcades on turn 3 or 4. Once Arcades is in play, every subsequent defender cantrips on entry, filling the hand with further threats and protective interaction. By turn 5, the deck presents 20 to 30+ combat power with cards like Wall of Denial, Wall of Junk, and Wall of Frost. Tetsuko Umezawa, Fugitive provides evasion by making 0-power and 1-power creatures unblockable, while Dusk // Dawn acts as a completely one-sided board wipe. While the deck possesses explosive card velocity and high combat damage, it remains heavily reliant on Arcades to maintain combat viability.
