Smaug, wicked worm by madman187

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug, Wicked Worm

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This Rakdos deck builds a Treasure economy around Smaug, Wicked Worm, using its enters-the-battlefield trigger and spell-casting draw to chain removal and ramp into large Dragons. Smaug the Impenetrable is the de facto second commander: indestructible, hasty, and a Treasure factory. The primary win is combat damage from evasive Dragons, usually multiplied by Full Throttle or the Fire Crystal's token copy; the secondary path uses Pestilence plus Smaug the Impenetrable to grind life totals and generate mana, then finishes with a big burn spell such as Crackle with Power. The deck has one flexible counterspell and many pieces of spot removal, so it is aggressive but light on stack defense.
