DEATH by TheBookofSlivers

Format: Commander

Commander: Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER // Sephiroth, One-Winged Angel

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Sephiroth is both the engine and the finisher of a mono-black sacrifice combo deck. The front face turns attacks and sacrificial deaths into card draw and life drain, while the back face's emblem makes every subsequent creature death a damage/life swing. The deck's primary plan is to assemble a recursive sacrifice loop-usually Phyrexian Altar, Gravecrawler, and a Zombie such as Carrion Feeder-with Sephiroth or Bontu's Monument as the drain. Secondary plans grind through Grave Pact, Dictate of Erebos, and recursion, or use Bolas's Citadel to find and cast pieces. There is no hidden commander; the deck is built to flip Sephiroth into One-Winged Angel and win through the emblem.
