Deck overview

This deck is an Esper control and big-mana cheat archetype led by Yennett, Cryptic Sovereign. The strategy accelerates mana during the first three turns with low-cost mana rocks and sets up the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Aminatou, the Fateshifter, and Mystical Tutor. Once Yennett attacks on Turn 5, it cheats massive odd-mana-value spells directly into play without paying their mana costs. The payoff pool includes asymmetric board wipes like In Garruk's Wake, game-dominating praetors like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, life-halving threats like Magister Sphinx, and extra-turn spells such as Expropriate. Backed by a premier suite of Esper removal and countermagic, the deck controls the pace of the game while crushing opponents under massive card and board advantage over two to three attack cycles.
