Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Izzet spellslinger combo list led by Ral, Monsoon Mage. The primary game plan revolves around casting Ral on Turn 2 to discount all instants and sorceries, chaining efficient rituals and impulse draws into an explosive Turn 4 win. The primary win condition uses Underworld Breach combined with Brain Freeze and mana rituals or Lotus Petal to mill the entire library and eliminate opponents through storm mill or a lethal Grapeshot. Redundant mana engines like Birgi, God of Storytelling, Storm-Kiln Artist, and Electro, Assaulting Battery ensure the deck can storm off even without its commander. Backed by free and low-cost protection such as Deflecting Swat, Pact of Negation, and Flusterstorm, the deck reliably shields its win attempts from opposing disruption while executing same-turn table kills.
