Format: Commander

Commander: Indominus Rex, Alpha

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Sultai voltron deck built entirely around Indominus Rex, Alpha. The commander's ETB lets you discard keyword creature cards to grant itself flying, hexproof, trample, deathtouch, and more as counters - drawing a card for each counter placed. The deck packs 16 keyword creatures to fuel the discard, with Sire of Seven Deaths alone providing seven keywords for a seven-card draw. Once the commander is a massive hexproof trampler, a dense equipment package - Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, Blackblade Reforged, Bone Sabres - closes via commander damage, with one-shot pump spells (Colossification, Exponential Growth) accelerating the kill. A solid recursion package (Reanimate, Animate Dead, Rise of the Dark Realms) and free interaction (Fierce Guardianship, Deadly Rollick) round out the plan, with Carnage Tyrant and Elder Gargaroth as secondary beaters.
