Grisel me brand by coasterkramer

Format: Commander

Commander: Griselbrand

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck is a monoblack big-mana reanimation strategy helmed by the banned Griselbrand. The primary game plan is to accelerate into high-cost demons, use Griselbrand's activated ability to draw seven cards at a time, and deploy threats through reanimation or direct casting. The deck leans heavily on mana doublers like Cabal Coffers, Crypt Ghast, and Nirkana Revenant to fuel expensive spells. It also includes a strong tutor suite (Demonic Tutor, Razaketh, the Foulblooded, Rune-Scarred Demon, Blood Speaker) to find win conditions such as Liliana's Contract (four demons with different names), overwhelming combat damage, or Emrakul, the Promised End control. The deck has no counterspells and limited instant-speed interaction, making it vulnerable to disruption. Its primary weakness is that Griselbrand is banned in the Commander format, rendering the deck illegal for sanctioned play.
