Deck overview

This deck is a dedicated Dimir control and attrition build helmed by Toxrill, the Corrosive. The primary strategy focuses on developing mana through on-curve lands and artifacts, pacing the early game with cheap countermagic and targeted removal, and deploying Toxrill on Turn 6. Once resolved, Toxrill places slime counters at the beginning of every end step, wiping opposing creatures through cumulative -1/-1 effects and turning casualties into 1/1 Slug tokens. These tokens fuel card draw and apply gradual pressure. Secondary lines include devastating creature locks via Maha, Its Feathers Night paired with Night of Souls' Betrayal or Ascendant Evincar, as well as search and draw denial through Opposition Agent and Notion Thief. While the deck excels at suppressing creature strategies and establishing overwhelming board dominance, its win condition relies on combat grind and incremental life loss, requiring several turns to eliminate three opponents.
