Deck overview

This is an Esper "spells-matter" control deck built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. With Y'shtola on the battlefield, every 3+ mana noncreature spell - of which there are dozens - deals 2 damage to each opponent and gains 2 life, while the end-step draw condition rewards life-loss turns. The deck has almost no creature presence, instead winning through enchantment-based drain engines, pillowfort pieces, and the classic Sanguine Bond + Exquisite Blood infinite loop. It controls the board with an unusually dense suite of instant-speed removal, counterspells, and near-one-sided board wipes, then closes either through the infinite combo or a giant Exsanguinate. The commander is the only creature in the 99, so the deck's survival depends on keeping the table locked down and converting life advantage into card advantage.
