Deck overview

This deck is a Jeskai Equipment Voltron strategy helmed by Captain America, First Avenger. The core engine bypasses onerous equip costs through the Catch trigger, which freely attaches massive implements like Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden at the beginning of combat. Captain America's Throw ability turns these heavy artifacts into potent direct damage, providing flexible creature removal or extra reach to burn out opposing life totals. A robust tutor suite including Stoneforge Mystic, Steelshaper's Gift, and Cloud, Midgar Mercenary ensures swift access to key equipment, while card-draw engines like Puresteel Paladin and Sram, Senior Edificer keep resources flowing. The deck secures victories through high-power commander combat augmented by double strike and extra combat steps, backed by an efficient interaction suite of cheap countermagic and targeted removal.
