Deck overview

This Orzhov deck leverages Killian, Decisive Mentor to combine aggressive Voltron combat with political disruption and card advantage. By turning every enchantment into a tap-and-goad trigger, Killian removes potential blockers and forces opposing threats into each other, preserving your life total while keeping defensive lanes open. The deck accelerates quickly with low-cost ramp and cost reducers like Starfield Mystic and Transcendent Envoy, allowing it to deploy a high density of Auras ahead of curve. Card flow engines such as Sram, Senior Edificer, Kor Spiritdancer, and Trouble in Pairs ensure that casting Auras replenishes hand size continuously. Offensively, scaling enhancements like All That Glitters, Ethereal Armor, and Sage's Reverie transform Killian or alternate threats into lethal attackers capable of eliminating players in single strikes. Resilience tools including Sheltered by Ghosts, Galadriel's Dismissal, and graveyard recursion spells like Replenish protect the board and allow rapid recovery from opposing interaction.
