Deck overview

This deck is a Dimir tempo and burn strategy helmed by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary game plan revolves around deploying cheap, evasive 1-drop creatures on Turn 1, then activating commander ninjutsu on Turn 2 to put Yuriko onto the battlefield unblocked. Each time a Ninja connects with an opponent, Yuriko reveals the top card of the library, puts it into hand, and causes each opponent to lose life equal to its mana value. The deck maximizes this trigger using library manipulation like Brainstorm and Brainsurge alongside high-mana-value bombs such as Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass. In addition to combat-driven life loss, the list includes an efficient secondary win condition in Thassa's Oracle combined with Demonic Consultation. A suite of counterspells, bounce spells, and ninjutsu synergies protects the board, bypasses commander tax, and maintains unrelenting pressure across the table.
