Deck overview

This deck executes a Boros Voltron strategy centered on Cloud, Planet's Champion. Early turns focus on establishing mana, filtering through lands, and deploying low-cost Equipment. When Cloud enters on Turn 5, his innate equip cost reduction lets you attach weapons immediately, granting him double strike and indestructible during your turn. On Turn 6, Cloud begins eliminating opponents in rapid succession by leveraging high-power Equipment like Blackblade Reforged, Colossus Hammer, and Hero's Blade. Dedicated tutors ensure reliable access to essential weapons and utility items, while tools like Sunforger give access to both removal and protection. Because Cloud lacks indestructible on opponents' turns, the deck relies on tutorable hexproof Equipment and defensive instants like Teferi's Protection to survive table rotations. Without extra-combat spikes, the deck systematically eliminates opponents one by one to finish by Turn 8.
