Commander: Leonardo, the Balance

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Leonardo, the Balance and his hidden partner Donatello, the Brains run a token-and-counter engine: every token creation event also makes a Mutagen token, and Leonardo turns the first token of each turn into a global +1/+1 counter. Staple engines like Endless Foot Assault, Big Apple, and The Ooze provide repeated tokens, while Corpsejack Menace, High Score, and Michelangelo, Weirdness to 11 multiply the counters. The deck wins by swinging a wide, tall board with Leonardo's five-color overrun, Raphael, the Muscle's damage doubling, and Raph & Leo's extra combat, or by using Shredder to hit every opponent with copies. It is a mid-paced aggro deck vulnerable to board wipes and light on stack interaction.
