Deck overview

This deck is a focused Boros Voltron and Equipment aggro build led by Lightning, Army of One. Lightning leverages built-in first strike, trample, and lifelink alongside her signature Stagger ability, which doubles all damage dealt to a player or their permanents once she connects. The list is packed with efficient Equipment, equip-cost reducers, and combat enhancers like Colossus Hammer, Buster Sword, and Genji Glove to quickly turn Lightning into a lethal one- or two-shot threat. While it foregoes fast mana and infinite combos, it maintains strong combat pressure and resilient backup beaters like Cloud, Planet's Champion and Sephiroth, Fallen Hero. High-quality defensive spells such as Clever Concealment and Restoration Magic help shield the commander from opposing disruption during combat.
