Deck overview

This deck is a Boros typal combat strategy centered around Thorin, King of Durin's Folk. The early game prioritizes casting efficient low-mana Dwarves and mana rocks to establish an early creature presence. Once Thorin is cast on Turn 4, every entering Dwarf creates a Treasure token while granting other Dwarves an escalating power boost based on total artifact tokens controlled. Turn 5 functions as the critical onset window, where additional Dwarves, anthem artifacts, or damage multipliers transform modest creatures into lethal attackers. The deck relies primarily on fair combat steps rather than infinite loops or hard stax locks, leveraging dragons like Scourge of the Throne and Smaug the Magnificent for high-end punch. While it features resilient single-target removal and selective protection spells, it remains vulnerable to sweepers that reset artifact tokens and creature counts simultaneously.
