Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov midrange strategy centered on manipulating life totals as an aggressive resource. Led by Mister Negative, the deck leverages self-inflicted life loss through cards like K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth, Black Market Connections, and Toxic Deluge to lower its own life total before casting the commander. Upon entry, Mister Negative exchanges life with an opponent, plunging them into lethal range while refilling the pilot's hand. Complementary drain engines such as Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Sheoldred, the Apocalypse, and Enduring Tenacity quickly eliminate low-life opponents. Repeatable flicker effects like Teleportation Circle and Conjurer's Closet allow repeated life exchanges across the table. Supported by versatile spot removal, sweepers, and backup finishers like Gray Merchant of Asphodel and Exsanguinate, the deck maintains a steady, resilient attrition game plan that closes around Turn 8.
