Murder of Crows by Owler

Format: Commander

Commander: Rendmaw, Creaking Nest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Golgari midrange artifact-creature deck helmed by Rendmaw, Creaking Nest. The core plan leverages the fact that nearly every nonland permanent is an artifact creature (two card types), so each cast-and each artifact land drop-triggers Rendmaw to flood the table with goaded 2/2 flying Birds. Opponents are forced to attack each other while you assemble a resilient artifact army backed by counters, anthems, and one-sided wipes (Phyrexian Scriptures, Their Name Is Death). Primary wins come through combat damage amplified by Beastmaster Ascension, Steel Overseer, Iron Spider, Stark Upgrade, and draw-on-connect engines like Ohran Frostfang and Toski, Bearer of Secrets. Secondary pressure includes life-drain from Barbed Servitor, Giggling Skitterspike, and Massacre Wurm, plus Wing Storm against the flying tokens. There are no infinite combos; the deck wins by attrition and goad-fueled chaos.
