Deck overview

Nissa, Leyline Tamer leads a 4-color (WUBR) landfall-polymorph deck designed to cheat devastating, high-cost creatures directly onto the battlefield. Supported by a dense suite of 1–2 CMC mana rocks and utility creatures, the deck accelerates into casting its 7-mana commander by Turn 5. Because playing a land does not use the stack, resolving Nissa guarantees an immediate landfall trigger that draws a card and cheats a game-ending bomb—such as Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite, Toxrill, the Corrosive, or Avacyn, Angel of Hope—directly from the library into play. Topdeck manipulation tools like Brainstorm and Scroll Rack allow deliberate placement of high-impact payoffs on top of the library. Opponents face severe asymmetric attrition and board suppression from Turn 5 onward, while subsequent land drops deploy additional threats like Moraug, Fury of Akoum and Gisela, Blade of Goldnight to eliminate the table by Turn 7. A compact infinite landfall combo via Retreat to Coralhelm and Ruin Ghost provides alternate instant-win potential.
