Deck overview

This Kaalia of the Vast deck is a dedicated Mardu reanimator combo engine leveraging Human tribal recursion alongside high-impact creature bombs. Rather than relying solely on Kaalia's attack trigger, the deck's primary victory line utilizes Buried Alive to place Angel of Glory's Rise, Fiend Hunter, and a sacrifice outlet like Yawgmoth, Thran Physician into the graveyard. A single reanimation spell reanimates the Angel, triggering a loop where Fiend Hunter repeatedly exiles and returns Angel of Glory's Rise, drawing the entire library and producing infinite Treasures via Pitiless Plunderer. The line finishes with Terror of the Peaks dealing arbitrary lethal burn to all opponents. In games where the combo is delayed, Kaalia functions as an alternate mana cheat engine, deploying threats like Vilis, Broker of Blood and Dragon Mage to refill resources rapidly.
