Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Dimir reanimator and tempo-stompy strategy helmed by Runo Stromkirk // Krothuss, Lord of the Deep. The game plan focuses on discarding or landcycling high-mana-value Sea Monsters such as Spawning Kraken, Hullbreaker Horror, and Junk Winder during the opening turns. On Turn 3, Runo is cast to place a 6+ CMC creature from the graveyard onto the top of the library, guaranteeing his transformation into Krothuss on the Turn 4 upkeep. Once transformed, Krothuss attacks to create two attacking token copies of a Sea Monster, generating overwhelming board presence, exponential token swarms, and massive card advantage.
