Deck overview

This deck leverages a custom variant of Codie, Ravenous Codex to double the value of creatures featuring the prepared mechanic. Every prepared creature enters ready to cast a signature instant or sorcery copy, which Codie duplicates on resolution. By pairing low-cost utility creatures like Studious First-Year // Rampant Growth and Goblin Glasswright // Craft with Pride with high-impact token generators such as Campus Composer // Aqueous Aria and Semester Foreseer // Peer Review, the deck builds an expanding board presence while drawing cards via Emeritus of Ideation // Ancestral Recall. Secondary payoffs like Kykar, Zephyr Awakener and Chrome Host Seedshark convert every noncreature spell into additional flying and incubating threats. While the list lacks fast combo finishes and defensive countermagic, its high density of modular creatures provides resilient card flow and steady combat pressure across the mid-to-late game.
