Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on generating overwhelming Zombie armies by sacrificing high-power creatures and compounding token generation with tribal lords and aristocrat triggers. The deck curves low-cost Zombies into ramp, deploying Gisa by Turn 4-5 to convert tall threats into wide boards. Synergy pieces like Undead Warchief, Death Baron, and Noxious Ghoul turn mass tokens into lethal combat swings, while Grave Pact and Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet maintain board control. When combat is obstructed, reach is provided by direct drain via Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Ayara, First of Locthwain, Vengeful Dead, or an assembled Exquisite Blood plus Sanguine Bond combo. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and lacking fast stack interaction, the deck possesses resilient recursion engines through Living Death and Gravecrawler.
