🌩 Jenova | Count on a Storm [Primer] by tabbii

Format: Commander

Commander: Jenova, Ancient Calamity

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Golgari +1/+1 counters midrange deck helmed by Jenova, Ancient Calamity. The plan is to flood the board with scalable mana dorks, multiply counters through doublers like Branching Evolution and Corpsejack Menace, and use Jenova's combat trigger to turn a chosen body into a Mutant while packing it with counters. When those Mutants die on your turn-via sacrifice outlets or combat-Jenova refills your hand equal to their power, converting board presence into raw card advantage. Primary wins come from oversized combat (tramplers, Rogue's Passage, haste from Concordant Crossroads) rather than infinite combos. Secondary angles include drain from Dimension X Pizzasaur, rad counters from Feral Ghoul, and attrition through edicts and fights. Jenova is the deck's engine for both counter distribution and death-triggered draw, but the 99 still carries a functional counters-and-stompy plan without her.
