Deck overview

This mono-blue tempo deck is led by Ultimecia, Temporal Threat, leveraging her entrance ability to tap all opposing creatures and turn every subsequent combat connection into repeatable card draw. The early game focuses on deploying low-cost evasive threats such as Faerie Vandal, Il Mheg Pixie, and Wingblade Disciple while navigating a thin mana base. Upon reaching six mana, Ultimecia clears the board of blockers for an immediate unhindered attack that replenishes the hand. The deck converts this steady influx of cards into reactive counterspells and tempo bounces, keeping opposing commanders and major threats off balance. Late-game pressure scales through large Eldrazi beaters like Twins of Discord, cloned threats via Rite of Replication, or evasive granting from Deepfathom Skulker. However, with only thirty lands and minimal dedicated ramp, mana velocity remains a major operational constraint, requiring careful resource management across long, multi-turn combat clocks.
