The Reaper, King No More by HoleyCrusader

Format: Commander

Commander: The Reaper, King No More

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a Jund (-1/-1) counters attrition deck helmed by The Reaper, King No More. The plan spreads -1/-1 counters, weaponizes death triggers, and steals opposing creatures that die while marked. Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, Flourishing Defenses, and Necroskitter convert every counter into tokens or permanent theft, while Blowfly Infestation, Midnight Banshee, and Black Sun's Zenith scale the pressure. The commander is a once-per-turn theft engine on ETB and death, not a hard lock piece. Primary wins are go-wide combat through Snakes/Elves plus stolen bombs; secondary lines include locked boards under Kulrath Knight and slow poison via Vraska, Betrayal's Sting. The deck plays as midrange value with occasional explosive token loops rather than a fast combo kill.
