Deck overview

This Esper deck is piloted by Varina, Lich Queen as a dynamic tribal aristocrats and graveyard engine. The strategy focuses on establishing early board presence with low-cost Zombies, deploying Varina on Turn 4 to trigger massive combat looting and graveyard stocking. The deck leverages high functional redundancy across sacrifice outlets, token producers, and life-drain payoffs like Wayward Servant, Corpse Knight, and Vengeful Dead. Asymmetric creature control pieces such as Archfiend of Ifnir, Noxious Ghoul, and Grave Pact dismantle opposing creature boards while preserving your own. Explosive mass reanimation spells like Living Death and exponential token engines like Tombstone Stairwell deliver decisive table-wide drain or overwhelming combat lethal on Turns 6–7. While vulnerable to early graveyard hate and exile sweepers, the deck maintains high resilience through redundant engines, ward protection, and instant-speed shielding.
