Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Izzet discard aggro strategy helmed by Captain Howler, Sea Scourge. The game plan revolves around ramping into Howler on Turn 3 and utilizing free discard outlets, looters, and wheel effects to pump unblockable or evasive attackers with massive power buffs. Because Howler grants card draw on combat damage for every card discarded to buff that creature, successful attacks immediately replenish the hand to fuel subsequent combat steps. Secondary payoffs such as Brallin, Skyshark Rider, Spider-Man, New Champion, and Magmakin Artillerist convert hand turnover into direct burn against all opponents simultaneously. The deck operates with high consistency due to its dense redundancy of discard outlets, though it remains exposed to creature board wipes and possesses limited reactive interaction against noncreature combo strategies.
