Fat Hobbitses by Dakofomax

Format: Commander

Commander: Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit and Sam, Loyal Attendant

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Abzan Food-tokens deck pairs Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit with Sam, Loyal Attendant to leverage an enormous number of Food tokens as both a resource engine and a win condition. Sam, Loyal Attendant reduces Food activation costs by {1} and creates one free Food per turn, while Frodo, Adventurous Hobbit draws cards when attacking with sufficient life gain and Ring temptations. The primary game plan is to generate a critical mass of Food tokens through multiple enter-the-battlefield and token-creating effects like Samwise Gamgee, Farmer Cotton, and Treebeard, Gracious Host, then convert them into life gain, combat pumps via Pippin, Warden of Isengard, or direct drain through Mirkwood Bats and Sanguine Bond. The deck also includes a combo-adjacent win condition in Bilbo, Birthday Celebrant that tutors any number of creatures once you reach 111 life. Combat serves as a secondary path, with Feasting Hobbit and Banquet Guests scaling off Food count.
