Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord anchors a Grixis amass deck that turns every opponent spell into Army counters and every Army hit into a four-card draw. The primary plan is to grow a single huge Orc Army with amass effects and Mauhur, then close with Assault on Osgiliath's double-strike turn. Saruman, the White Hand functions as the hidden commander, converting every noncreature spell into another amass trigger while giving Orcs/Goblins ward. A drain subtheme with Purphoros, Blood Artist, and Mirkwood Bats hits the whole table, while Entomb/Buried Alive plus Reanimate/Living Death provides a resilient reanimation axis.
