Deck overview

This Boros equipment deck is helmed by Lightning, Army of One, a 3/2 first-strike trample lifelink commander whose Stagger trigger doubles all damage dealt to a player (or their permanents) until your next turn after it connects. The deck aims to suit up Lightning with cheap equipment like Bloodforged Battle-Axe and White Mage's Staff, then chain attacks to multiply damage and eliminate opponents one by one. It supplements the voltron plan with token generation (Job-select equipment, Goldwardens' Gambit), mass recursion (Storm of Souls, Wake the Past, Replenish), and a handful of direct-damage spells that benefit from Stagger. The commander is the primary damage engine, but the deck can pivot to other equipped creatures or go-wide token beats if Lightning is answered.
