Deck overview

This deck is a high-tempo Jeskai combat deck led by Sonic the Hedgehog. The strategy revolves around deploying efficient creatures with flash and haste, using Sonic's combat trigger to grow the entire board with +1/+1 counters every time it attacks. By attacking early and often, the deck accumulates counters, generates Treasure tokens whenever its creatures take damage, and draws cards through coastal piracy effects like Bident of Thassa and Enduring Curiosity. In the mid-game, the deck converts this board presence into lethal finishes using damage doublers like Raphael, the Muscle, unblockable evasion from Herald of Secret Streams, or multiple combat steps via Full Throttle and Aggravated Assault. A robust suite of defensive spells—such as Ripples of Potential, Guardian of Faith, and Boros Charm—protects the creature engine against sweepers and removal, allowing the deck to close games swiftly around Turn 7.
