Queen Marchesa by Lulani

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Queen Marchesa is a political monarch-control deck. The primary plan is to take the crown early, then use taxes, goad, and creature removal to keep opponents from reclaiming it while the Courts and Skullclamp turn the title into cards and damage. The commander's haste makes her an immediate monarch and a deathtouch attacker; if the crown is lost, she creates Assassin tokens with deathtouch and haste. Secondary paths include Syr Konrad attrition, Assassin tribal pump from Arno Dorian, and a mass-theft finish with Insurrection or Mutinous Massacre. There is no true hidden commander: Queen Marchesa drives the draw engine, and Syr Konrad is the most important supporting engine.
