Jahlil Beats, Hallar at me by Dxndylion

Format: Commander

Commander: Hallar, the Firefletcher

Bracket: 3

DeckCheck Threat Index: 37

Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Gruul burn and +1/+1 counter strategy led by Hallar, the Firefletcher. The game plan accelerates mana on Turns 1 and 2 to deploy Hallar on Turn 3. It then multiplies counters using engines like Hardened Scales, Branching Evolution, and Innkeeper's Talent. Once Hallar accumulates counters, casting low-cost kicked spells triggers widespread direct damage to every opponent simultaneously. This non-combat clock bypasses pillowfort effects and blockers. Support pieces like Keen Sense and Snake Umbra turn Hallar's group burn into massive card draw, while an efficient suite of protection spells like Deflecting Swat, Tamiyo's Safekeeping, and Gaea's Gift shields the commander from interaction. Alternative threats like All Will Be One and Wolfbriar Elemental provide backup pressure if Hallar faces heavy removal.
