Deck overview

This deck is a specialized Jund -1/-1 counters and attrition engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The primary game plan revolves around leveraging the blight mechanic, wither, and proliferate to continuously place -1/-1 counters on both sides of the board. Putting counters on friendly creatures fuels extensive card draw through Auntie Ool, while placing them on opposing creatures whittles down enemy boards and inflicts direct life loss. Supported by token generators such as Nest of Scarabs and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons, the deck converts counter distribution into wide board presence. Oppressive control pieces like Kulrath Knight and Necroskitter lock down opposing threats and steal casualties, while damage amplifiers like Bloodletter of Aclazotz, Archfiend of Despair, and Wound Reflection swiftly drain the table. Although resilient against indestructible threats and creature-heavy tables, the deck relies on permanent-heavy boards and lacks stack interaction, making it vulnerable to well-timed noncreature wipes.
