Deck overview

This deck translates the classic Modern Lantern Control archetype into Commander under the guidance of Emry, Lurker of the Loch. The strategy seeks to establish total control over the table's draw steps using Lantern of Insight or Wizened Snitches alongside targeted mill rocks such as Codex Shredder, Ghoulcaller's Bell, and Pyxis of Pandemonium. Powered by Unwinding Clock, you untap every turn to mill away any threat or answer revealed on top of opponents' libraries before they can draw it. Ensnaring Bridge completely suppresses combat damage, while hate artifacts like Torpor Orb, Cursed Totem, and Chalice of the Void shut down creature abilities, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and low-cost spells. Emry acts as a resilient recursion engine from the command zone, allowing you to replay destroyed pieces or recurring baubles for card advantage. The deck closes games deliberately via Mechanized Production, Tezzeret the Seeker combat animations, or eventual library attrition.
