Deck overview

This Grixis deck uses Edward Kenway to turn combat-oriented Pirates, Assassins, and Vehicles into an explosive Treasure generation and card-advantage engine. During the early turns, it deploys efficient low-cost threats and mana rocks to set up the battlefield. Once Edward Kenway arrives on turn 4, tapping these creatures in combat generates a burst of Treasure tokens every end step. The deck translates this mana surplus into game-ending pressure by deploying artifact-drain pieces like Mirkwood Bats, alternate win conditions like Revel in Riches, or imposing combat threats like Reaver Titan. It defends its board with an efficient interaction package featuring free spells like Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick, and Force of Negation. Additionally, the list houses a compact backup win condition in the Malcolm and Glint-Horn Buccaneer infinite damage combo, giving it both strong fair midrange resiliency and instant-kill potential.
