Deck overview

This is an Esper Equipment deck built around Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain. The main plan is to accelerate with Sol Ring, Lotus Petal, Signets, and Talismans; find a high-impact Equipment with Steelshaper's Gift, Open the Armory, Stoneforge Mystic, or Cloud, Midgar Mercenary; then assemble Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain with a modified attacker. On attack, Arna Kennerüd, Skycaptain doubles counters and creates attached copies of Equipment, allowing the board to grow over later combat steps. Buster Sword, Conqueror's Flail, Thran Power Suit, and Eldrazi Conscription are the strongest scaling pieces. The deck also has useful draw engines through Sram, Senior Edificer, Puresteel Paladin, Biorganic Carapace, and The Mighty Thor, Jane Foster. Its main limits are a slow combat-based finish, dependence on the commander and combat connections, modest proactive denial, and incomplete protection against exile or sweepers.
