Deck overview

This budget Rakdos deck focuses on turning noncreature spells into lethal burn damage through Kuja, Genome Sorcerer. Deployed on Turn 4, Kuja generates 0/1 Wizard creature tokens on each end step. Once four Wizards are assembled, Kuja transforms into Trance Kuja, Fate Defied, which doubles all damage dealt by Wizards. By chaining low-cost cantrips, rummage spells, and burn spells, each Wizard token deals two damage per spell to all opponents simultaneously. The deck utilizes an untapped basic land base and 3-CMC mana rocks to hit its land drops reliably. While it lacks competitive fast mana, tutors, and countermagic, it compensates with high redundancy in cheap spells and a dense package of seven instant-speed protection spells that preserve Kuja while advancing the burn strategy. A secondary win condition in Havoc Festival accelerates the burn clock against high-life pods, leading to a consistent finish around Turn 8.
