Deck overview

This deck is commanded by Iroh, Grand Lotus, functioning as an innovative hybrid between a Temur spellslinger value engine and an earthbend combat aggro strategy. The deck seeks to stock its graveyard in the early game with cheap Lessons and utility instants, utilizing 2- and 3-drop ramp pieces to accelerate into its 6-mana commander. Once Iroh resolves, Lesson cards become ultra-efficient {1}-mana spells with flashback, allowing the pilot to chain draw spells, land-animation triggers, and token generators. The primary win condition is converting lands into resilient, trampling beaters using cards like Cracked Earth Technique, Bumi, Unleashed, and Toph, Hardheaded Teacher. While the deck generates high card flow in the mid-game and features resilient land creatures that recur if destroyed, its reliance on taplands and a 6-mana commander leaves it vulnerable to high-speed combo decks and early aggression.
