Deck overview

This is an Esper "slow the table down, then drain it out" control deck built around Y'shtola, Night's Blessed. The plan is straightforward: deploy a tax and pillowfort shell - Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, Norn's Annex, Deafening Silence, Drannith Magistrate - to buy time, land Y'shtola, and then ride her second ability: every noncreature spell with mana value 3 or greater deals 2 damage to each opponent and gains 2 life. The deck supercharges that trigger with a six-card clone package (Irenicus's Vile Duplication, Spark Double, Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, Quantum Misalignment, Multiversal Recruitment, Rite of Replication) and with trigger doublers Delney, Streetwise Lookout (Y'shtola is a 2/4) and Roaming Throne (naming Cat). Life-gain payoffs like Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose, Marauding Blight-Priest, and Enduring Tenacity convert every 2 life gained into additional loss, Bloodchief Ascension turns wheels and discards into damage, and Exsanguinate closes out the mid-game. The deck out-values opponents with Rhystic Study, Esper Sentinel, Smothering Tithe, and The One Ring, then grinds them to zero.
